Shane Lasseter

Coach Lasseter is entering his 6th year as athletic director and his 15th year of coaching with the Braves. He is a native of Heard County. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of West Georgia, while obtaining his Master’s and specialist degrees from Liberty University.
Lasseter has been married to the former Nickie Moon of Woodland, Alabama for 13 years. They have two future braves: Max (11), Major (8), two nephews who reside with them Jakab (17), and Chandler (20).
“I consider it an honor and a privilege to teach, coach, and mentor young men and women from my hometown. I think it speaks volumes about the dynamics of a community and school system when you have so many natives who wish to come back and contribute to their alma mater. You could search small town USA over and never find a family community like we are blessed with here in Heard County.
