HCHS Cross Country competes at Columbus

(Columbus, GA) — A portion of the 2018 HCHS Cross Country team competed at a meet in Columbus this week with several Braves scoring solid finishes.

Leading the way for the Lady Brave was sophomore Annie Bradley who scored a 5th place finish with an outstanding time of 25:42.26 in the 5000 meter event.

Sophomore Kimberly Loutzenheiser earned a 22nd place finish and sophomore Shelby Oldham finished in 27th position.

In the boys’ run, Brave sophomore Garrett Callahan finished in a strong 10th place with a time of 20:14.72.

Ethan Lawson took 21st place, Bailey Scarborough 24th, Andrew King 54th, and Luke Bennett was 80th to round out the Brave finishers.

Heard High Cross Country is coached by Lindsey Stewart and Cynthia O’Reilly.

The team travels to Mt. Zion next Tuesday and returns home for a meet on Thursday at HCPR.
