(Mt. Zion, GA) — The Heard County Middle School softball coaching staff and three players traveled to Mt. Zion Middle School this week to compete at the 2019 West Georgia Middle School Exhibition All-Star game.
Heard County coaches Alicia Carroll, Kelley Hadley, and Dalton Reed led one of the all-star squads and the Lady Braves who competed in the game were LilyRae Fulford, Emily Mock, and Aubree Ussery.
Fulford led the Middle School Champion Lady Braves in the circle this season with 45 strikeouts in just 29 innings and an ERA of just 1.03. She also batted .524 with 11 RBI’s.
Ussery batted .667 with five doubles and 15 runs scored while Mock posted a .536 average with 19 runs scored and eight steals.
The 2019 title was the third consecutive middle school championship won by the Lady Braves softball team.
