The 16-0 win in four innings set the pace as the squad officially begins the road to Columbus.
Senior Caroline Jones started in the circle and earned her first win of the season after pitching three strong innings. She scattered two hits and two walks while striking out an impressive seven batters.
Briana Hill worked a strong fourth inning in relief allowing just a hit.
Offensively, four Lady Braves had multiple hit efforts including the hot-hitting senior Brittany Graley who went 2-for-2 with her first homer of the season and three runs batted in.
Mackenzie White continued to roll going 4-for-4 with two doubles and Abigail Lathrop and Chasidy Kates also tallied two hits apiece.
Janiyah Strong also homered and drove in two during the rout.
The Lady Braves will travel to Newnan this afternoon for another non-region tilt versus Northgate before returning home tomorrow for the Region 5-AA home opener versus rival Callaway. The Cavs are coached by former Lady Brave Robyn Littlefield McCann.
