Little Braves Open 2019 Football Season
(Franklin, GA) — All five Heard County Parks and Recreation football teams opened the 2019 season at Staples Stadium on Saturday, September 7 in Franklin.
The highlights of the day included impressive performances and wins for the 8U and 10U Braves as well as an exciting contest between the two HCPR flag football teams.
The most lopsided victory of the day came from the 10U Braves coached by Jeffrey Hodges who shut down Carroll County Maroon by a final score of 32-0.
Leading the way for the Braves offense were Kaden Wood, Benjamin Schory, and Zach Donnell.
Schory had an impressive day at quarterback connecting on two touchdown passes and rushing one in to the endzone himself.
Big Kaden Wood was the recipient of two of those TD tosses including one on a nice screen pass from Schory.
Zach Donnell was a big target for the Braves with a couple of really nice receptions including one for a score. Jack Langley had a nice effort scoring twice on the PAT’s.
